Our Soft Silkblend

All blouses and silk garments from MAJA ROOS are made in Italy from a blend of 30% silk and 70% viscose. This carefully chosen composition makes the garments easier to care for and more durable than pure silk, while still preserving silk’s natural elegance.

It is silk’s beautiful sheen and graceful drape that give MAJA ROOS its feminine and luxurious feel. Silk reflects light in a unique way that enhances colors, while also adapting to temperature—warming in the cold and cooling in the heat—so you stay comfortable at all times.

Viscose, a wood-based fiber made from cellulose derived from bamboo, eucalyptus, spruce, and pine, adds strength and practicality to the fabric, helping the garments maintain their shape and longevity.

Thanks to this blend, all garments can be machine washed at 30°C on a delicate cycle. Use a mild, enzyme-free detergent—preferably one designed for silk or wool—to help preserve the fabric’s natural luster and softness. Avoid using fabric softener.

For extra care, place garments in a laundry bag or pillowcase to prevent direct contact with the washing drum. After washing, iron on low heat if needed.
